Before Your Session

Please read carefully before attending

Thank you for booking your session with us. To get the most out of your time and ensure the practice works as intended, please follow these preparation guidelines carefully. Each point exists for a specific reason — your body will thank you for it.

01Arrive Early

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled session time. This allows time for any unexpected delays such as traffic, parking, or finding the studio.

It is important for the body and mind to settle before we begin the practice. Arriving rushed or at the last minute affects your ability to receive the full benefit of the session.

📍 3085 Hurontario St #216, Mississauga, ON L5A 4E4
Please allow extra time if you are coming during peak hours.

02Empty Stomach

Please come to your session on an empty stomach. This is not simply a suggestion — it is essential for the practice to work correctly and safely in the body.

You must have finished your last meal at least 4 hours before the session begins.

Example: If your session starts at 9:00 am, your last meal must be finished by 5:00 am at the latest.

Water and light herbal teas are generally fine. Avoid heavy drinks, juices, or anything with significant caloric content within the 4-hour window.

03What to Wear

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing made from natural fibers such as cotton or linen. Natural fabrics allow the body to breathe and do not interfere with the energetic work of the practice.

  • Cotton, linen, or natural fiber blends are ideal.
  • Avoid synthetic materials such as polyester, nylon, or spandex — these create static charge on the body which can be disruptive to the practice.
  • Clothing should allow free movement in all directions.
  • Layers are welcome if the studio feels cool at first — you will warm up.

04Jewelry & Accessories

Please keep jewelry to a minimum. We recommend wearing only what is truly essential — a simple ring or small stud earrings are fine.

  • Remove necklaces, bracelets, bangles, and large earrings before the session if possible.
  • Avoid wearing a watch during the practice.
  • If you wear a medical alert bracelet or similar item, that is of course fine to keep on.

Less metal and fewer accessories allows the body to move freely and keeps the practice uninterrupted.

05What to Bring

  • You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you have one. Mats are also available at the studio.
  • A small water bottle for after the session.
  • Any notes or questions you may have about your practice — we are always happy to address these.
Please do not bring valuables or leave items unattended. Classical Hatha Yoga Teacher Ontario does not assume responsibility for any lost or stolen items on the premises.

06Health & Illness

Your health and the health of all participants is our priority. If you are feeling unwell on the day of your session, please do not come in.

  • If you have a fever, severe cough, or have recently been in close contact with someone who is seriously ill, please call us to discuss your options.
  • If you have a recent injury, surgery, or a health condition that has changed since you booked, please let us know in advance so we can prepare appropriately.
  • Minor soreness from previous sessions is normal — please mention it at the start of your appointment.
